Handcrafted. One at a time.

BME Design

Unique bicycles shaped by experimental engineering, bold aesthetics, and precise craftsmanship.

Collection

This collection presents a selection of bicycle projects developed over time — from early experimental frames to later designs exploring materials, construction methods and form. What began as a personal hobby gradually evolved into small-scale production, and today continues as independent bicycle design and bike art.

B-9 NH Urban Stealth bicycle

B-9 NH Urban Stealth

Singlespeed urban bicycle inspired by the geometry and visual language of the F-117 Nighthawk aircraft.

B8 Series handmade frames

B8 Series frames

Series of handmade frames in bamboo, carbon, titanium and hybrid constructions, each offering a distinct ride feel and character.

S72 saddle system

S72 Saddles

Lightweight racing saddle system with a simple single-bolt adjustment.

X-9 Nighthawk prototype

X-9 Nighthawk

About BME Design

BME Design is an independent design studio based in Slovakia, focused on the development of unique bicycles and experimental concepts.

All projects are designed and built by Braňo Mereš. His work began in the early 2000s with self-built carbon composite, bamboo and other experimental frames, driven by curiosity and a desire to explore unconventional materials and construction methods.

What started as a personal hobby gradually evolved into small-scale production. Today, the work continues as independent development, exploring new ideas through bicycle design and bike art projects.

Alongside bicycle design, Braňo is involved in energy-related projects focused on thermal engineering, district heating systems and renewable energy, while also working in industrial design, photography and photogrammetry.
