No. 3 exists as a complete, unassembled bicycle awaiting its final finish and configuration.
What happened to the B-9 NH?
The B-9 NH was created with the ambition of producing a limited series of 100 bicycles. The project attracted international attention, but I was unable to secure the investment needed to launch the planned production series.
Only three original B-9 NH frame sets were built.
No. 1, finished in matte black, became the first completed B-9 NH. No. 2 followed with its distinctive camouflage finish. Both were photographed, presented and exhibited, but importantly they were also ridden extensively in everyday urban use.
No. 2 was later developed further into the e-B-9 NH Mk II.
No. 3 never did.
It was never painted, assembled or ridden. More than a decade later, it remains the last unfinished original B-9 NH.
One Last Blank Canvas
No. 3 exists today as a complete but unassembled B-9 NH, with the components required for the final build. Its frame, components and rims have never received their final finish.
There was another idea within the original B-9 NH project that was never realised: a special series of ten all-white bicycles intended as canvases for artists, each transformed into a unique piece of rideable art.
No. 3 now offers an unexpected opportunity to return to that idea. Its large, flat carbon surfaces can remain true to the original B-9 NH aesthetic, be developed specifically for a future owner, or become the canvas for a collaboration with an artist.
Original or Electric
The bicycle can be completed in its original lightweight singlespeed configuration or, optionally, with the Zehus HALOS all-in-one electric rear hub system.
The recently completed e-B-9 NH Mk II demonstrates the electric integration while retaining the original character of the design. The complete e-bike weighs 12.6 kg.
The B-9 NH Story
Inspired by the geometry and visual language of the F-117 Nighthawk, the B-9 NH combines a handmade carbon frame and fork, one-piece carbon stem-handlebar, Gates Carbon Drive and custom BME Design components.
Components used on No. 2 — including the BME Design frame, fork, integrated handlebar and stem, saddle assembly and crankset — were subjected to laboratory testing and passed the required safety and quality tests according to the EN 14764:2006 standard. Testing was carried out by an accredited Engineering Test Institute.
Since its introduction, the B-9 NH has received international attention and has been presented at design and bicycle exhibitions in Europe and the United States, including the Museum of Design Atlanta, Grassi Museum of Applied Arts Leipzig, Gewerbemuseum Winterthur, Eurobike, Like Bike Monte Carlo and the North American Handmade Bicycle Show.

No. 3 is open to a new chapter - as a privately commissioned bicycle, a collaboration with an artist, or a unique design object for a collector.
Its final form has yet to be created.
